Temple Bar Gallery and Studios (TBG&S) invites applications from visual artists for project and membership studios that will become available over 2007/2008. The use of the studios reflects the broad ranging developments in contemporary art practice with artists working in photography, video, sound, sculpture and painting currently occupying studios at TBG&S. Applications from Irish and International candidates are welcome.

Project Studios are available to artists for short-term use and for varied periods ranging from one month to one year. Applications for project studios are assessed on the basis of a specific proposal. While welcoming projects that focus on individual practice, entries made on the basis of public projects, collaborative projects or education and community activity will also be considered.  The first of three project studios will become from September 2007 with rent in the region of ?170 pper month.

An award of a three-year Membership Studio confers company membership and provides the artist occupant with full voting rights on Temple Bar Gallery and Studios policy. Applications for membership studios are evaluated on the basis of need and merit. The first of two membership studios will become available from August 2007 with rents between ?137 and ?163 per month.

All submissions received will be placed before a selection panel comprising a sub-committee of the Board and an independent external adjudicator. Studios are of varying size from 21sq/m to 71sq/m and are not residential.
