Sounds of Lough Neagh |
Come and hear and play the Open Arts Gamelan (an orchestra of exotic percussion instruments from Indonesia), and learn about the wonderful “Sounds of Lough Neagh” project which took place at the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre earlier this year. This 6-week creative music project allowed young people with disabilities from 4 local schools to record a DVD and 6-track CD. All music was composed entirely by the pupils involved, inspired by various environmental themes, including the life cycle of the Lough Neagh fly, birdsong, pollution, and ‘The Children of Lir’. |
