Participants:

Synopsis: Drawing Devenish involved two Individual Artist’s Programmes with two primary schools in rural Fermanagh working together with CYP artists Toni Johnston and Shiela O’ Hare. The pupils from Stragowna and St Nailles Primary Schools were involved in a unique creative experience on Devenish Island which helped develop their drawing and observation skills but also brought alive the history of their local area.

The project involved partnerships with Enniskillen Museum, Environment Heritage Service (EHS, Drawing Power and Kinawley Enterprise Centre.
The participants had the opportunity of finding out about how life would have been on Devenish island, as well as developing their creative skills. A number of pieces of artwork were produced including an 8ft. high cross which were displayed in an exhibition in Kinawley Enterprise Centre. UTV covered the project with Brian Black on UTV live.
