Synopsis: .A visual art, drama and music project which cumulated in an interactive art and performance installation based on the songs and rhymes, tastes and scents of childhood. Inspired by Maurice Leyden’s book ‘Boys & Girls Come Out to Play’, this intergenerational project explored children’s playground games and songs, most especially those specific to Banbridge and its environs.

Children from Edenderry Primary School and St. Mary’s Primary School worked alongside musicians, dramatists and visual artists in creating an interactive art and performance installation based on the songs and rhymes, tastes and scents of childhood. The participants recorded stories and songs from previous generations, creating a CD recording of their findings.
