East Education & Library Board Synopsis: An Individual Artist’s Programme pulled together 6 primary schools in the Coleraine area, having the artist in the school for 2 days and at Flowerfield on the Big Draw event on October 2005. Primary schools in the Coleraine Borough Council Area came together through the Individual Artists Programme to tie in with the nationwide Big Draw. Each school had an artist in with 2 classes at KS2 for 2 days, to work on a variety if different media ranging from printing, plaster casting, painting, drawing, videoing and textiles. The artist, for their third day worked in Flowerfield Arts Centre in continuing the work that had been starting in the schools. All the pupils from all the schools had been invited along with their parents to participate on the Big Draw day, but to try their hand at different techniques. Exhibition:
All the work produced in the schools and on the day at Flowerfield was
exhibited in the Art Centre for the following weeks and also formed
part of the CYP showcase of work for the NEELB area in December 2005.
