SYNOPSIS: The children from both schools came together to work with the artists on an Aboriginal theme. John Johnston retold them a story which an Elder had shared with him about three children who had been murdered. The children and artists decided they want to create a performance piece in homage to the children. The children worked on movement and dance with Mags Byrne and on African drumming with Nicky Such. John Johnston and Aileen O’ Reilly worked with the children to make two murals which where the backdrop to the performance but also quality stand alone pieces. The children performed their piece at a showcase with an audience of parents, teachers, art professionals and funders. The final piece was a moving and emotional journey.
